Visiting this website

The website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, does not embed content from other services, and loads its fonts from its own server. The web server does not keep a log of visits. If a page fails, a technical error message is recorded with the address of the page, without your IP address. If the website does not respond at all (for example during an update), the web server's own error message also contains the IP address and browser of whoever requested the page, and the other information the browser sends with the request, such as the address of the previous page. These messages are used only to fix faults and are deleted automatically.

Enquiries

When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we receive what you write in it: the subject of your enquiry, and, if you give them, the location, budget, time horizon and message, together with your name, email address and, optionally, your telephone number, and the language of the page you wrote from. The same applies when you write to us by email or call us.

We use this information only to answer you, to carry out a mandate if one follows, and to meet the legal obligations that apply to us. We keep an enquiry for as long as it is needed for that purpose; an enquiry that does not lead to a mandate is deleted at the latest 24 months after our last exchange. Data relating to a mandate is kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. Each night a security copy of the website's database is made, which includes the enquiries; the copies are kept on the server and on a computer in our office for 30 days and then deleted.

Cookies

The only cookie set for visitors is a technical one on the contact page, which protects the form against misuse. Details are in the cookie policy.

Who else receives data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it on for marketing. The website runs on a server operated by DigitalOcean, LLC in a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany, a country with an adequate level of data protection under Swiss law. DigitalOcean is a United States company. Our email is handled by Microsoft (Microsoft 365): messages you send us, and our replies, are stored on Microsoft's servers. Microsoft is a United States company. Where a mandate requires it, and only with your knowledge, we share the necessary information with the parties to the transaction, such as notaries, banks or the other party.

Your rights

You may ask us what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted, within the limits set by law. You may also object to its processing. Write to info@ibex.properties. If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you can turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We may update this notice when the website or our processing changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
